Good news: Spectrum of Lightning Chapter 4 is finished. 
Bad news: It's not edited yet. My co-author, editor, and pre-reader still have to comb it before I can release it.

Since 2014, we've thought of Twilight Velvet, Twilight Sparkle's mom, as either of these things. After "Daring Don't" showed us once and for all that Twilight Velvet was not the author of the Daring Do books, we've settled for more subdued headcanons regarding Twilight Velvet.
I suppose there's something to be said about this update coming out during Mothers' Day.
But yeah, here we are! Got another chapter of this fic out despite medical school grabbing me by the legs and essentially trying to hold me back. Was fun, doing six weeks' worth of work in five days.

Well, here it is, folks! After more than a month of delays, I finally finished the first major action set piece in the Spectrum of Lightning!
I know I released the chapter yesterday, but eh, can't hurt to make a blog about it regardless.
One hundred eleven upvotes. Approximately 2,100 views. Multiple hits in the feature box. All that's missing is a feature in Equestria Daily.
